Hello, Gecko musicians!
February was a musically exciting month. We all got to enjoy a Lunar New Year performance by local musicians and dancers, and 4th-5th grade attended the annual Young People’s Concert presented by the Austin Symphony at the Long Center after being visited in class by an Austin Symphony docent. It may not feel like it yet, but the end of the year is fast approaching. Various grade-level programs, off-campus performance opportunities, and the Talent Show are all coming soon! Finally, a friendly reminder that recorder belt songs for all 3rd-5th graders can be accessed from the Recorder page of the music website. Students can email a video of themselves playing to us, usually involving help from their adults. The recorder belt process is optional but competitive!
